Janusz Kamiński: Lincoln Interview
I always appreciate and enjoy great cinematography in movies and Janusz Kamiński is definitely one of them. Known for such films as Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Catch Me If You Can, Minority Report, the recently released Lincoln and many more. Love Minority Report and I actually remember, back in college, studying and analyzing shots.....why was it shot a certain way, what is it trying to communicate, why this angle, why not that angle and so on. It's definitely something that can influence a scene in a very big way. It's also great to hear Janusz Kamiński talk about his admiration for Henri Cartier-Bresson's work and street photography, very cool! Hearing this interview reminds me to look for those moments in movies that seem to work so well, analyze, learn from it and hopefully apply those things in animation. Enjoy the interview, cheers!
